Greetings! Welcome to my composer website. My music has been described as an eclectic blend of lyrical and spiritual sounds with energetic, joyous and African inspired percussion. I have set Jewish and non denominational sacred texts such as Psalms and poems for a capella choir and choir with percussion. I studied composition with George Crumb at the University of Pennsylvania, and have received numerous compositional awards and prizes.
I have also created vibrant works for music theater and modern oratorio, including The Children's March, which tells the story of the Civil Rights movement in the United States up to and including the Children's March of Montgomery Alabama in 1963.
